Perthshire deputy editor retires
Perthshire Advertiser’s deputy editor, Les Stewart, has retired.
Stewart had worked on the newspaper for over 42 years, working his way up from cub reporter. During his career, he held senior positions with the Perth branch of the National Union of Journalists and the Scottish and Universal Newspapers’ Group Chapel.
He now plans to do freelance work. A replacement deputy editor for the Perthshire Advertiser has not yet been appointed.
