Imagine Publishing's Play has redesigned its magazine and website in anticipation of the launch of Sony's PS4.
Issue 237, which went on sale on 7 November, includes 53 pages of dedicated PS4 launch coverage with a buyer’s guide to the console, bundles and accessories, a breakdown of every launch game and previews of future titles.
“Play has been boldly reporting from the front lines of PlayStation gaming for nearly two decades. A new console is always a cause for excitement, so we decided to bottle that buzz in creating a next-gen magazine in look, tone and feel” said Luke Albiges, deputy editor. “Regular readers can still enjoy the honest reviews, expert advice, industry access and playful tone they’ve come to expect, while a PS4-focused redesign gives the mag a crisp, clean new look and structure that will appeal to a whole new generation of gamers.”
