Pocket-lint has unveiled a redesigned website to mark its tenth birthday.
The site has been designed and coded from the ground up with a ‘mobile first’ approach, allowing it to adapt to the size of the screen it is being viewed on.
The site also hosts a News/Hot/Reviews column on the left hand side of the page in desktop mode, giving users access to news stories, reviews, and what is hot on the site. This column is hidden for phone and tablet but can be accessed from the menu.
An author panel has also been introduced at the top left of every story, allowing readers to connect with writers on Twitter.
A gallery feature allows users to view photos in full screen mode, play them in slideshows, and for tablet and mobile users provides swipe through images.
The homepage has been redesigned and now allows readers to see the latest news stories, the latest reviews and hands-on, and what's hot.
Hub pages on Pocket-lint were overhauled, enabling users to search the site’s review database.
Pocket-lint plans more improvements to the site in the near future, exploiting the new platform they have introduced to build on the redesigned site.
