Preston covers Saturday edition of Telegraph

Richard Preston, assistant editor of The Daily Telegraph, has been appointed to oversee the paper’s Saturday edition while Michele Lavery is on maternity leave.

Preston, who currently edits the paper’s comment pages, has worked for the Daily Telegraph for 10 years in a number of roles including features editor and news editor.

In addition to editing the Saturday edition, he will also be leading the paper’s editorial design and development.

Preston takes up his new position from the end of this month. The paper is now looking for a temporary replacement for his current assistant editor role.

Kathryn Holliday will become acting editor for The Daily Telegraph Saturday Magazine.
