Phil Baty has been promoted from news editor to associate editor at Times Higher Education Magazine.

On the responsibilities of his new position, Baty said: “I manage a team of six full-time reporters/news analysis writers to produce Times Higher Education magazine’s 20-page news section each week. I also commission opinion pieces from members of the higher education community and other interested stakeholders.”

Formerly known as The Times Higher Education Supplement, the title was relaunched on 10 January 2008 as Times Higher Education Magazine.

Published weekly by TSL Education, the title provides education, career and legal advice for those within higher education.
