Weber Shandwick has promoted Rachel Friend to group managing director, brand marketing, with a brief to bring together the agency’s B2C offers and specialisms, spanning consumer marketing, consumer technology, consumer health, sport, strategic planning, and digital.

Emma Thompson has also been promoted to managing director of the agency’s consumer marketing practice. Thompson is tasked with continuing to evolve the agency’s consumer engagement campaigns.
