Radio Plymouth is due to launch on 28 February.

The Devon-based station competed against Pirate FM to be awarded a licence in December 2008, after previous licence owner Diamond FM handed it back to Ofcom.

Phillip Schofield is one of the individual investors in Radio Plymouth Ltd. Presenters include Tony Blackburn, who will be broadcasting Sunday programme The Soul & Motown Show.
