Rain Communications has been appointed to spearhead a 2012 international media campaign for John Lewis.
John Lewis is the official department store provider for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Rain will capitalise on this – alongside the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee – to drive tourism footfall and increase in-store spend through a comprehensive international media campaign.
Working with tourism partners such as Visit Britain, London & Partners and Global Blue to analyse visitor numbers from key international territories, Rain will be tailor-making strategies per country to fall in line with cultural preferences, spending habits and tastes.
The account will be headed up by agency MD Delia Hyde and Rain’s destination PR experts Alison Wood and Katie Blake, who will be drawing on Rain’s international media relationships and tourism bodies to drive forward the campaign.
