Redesign for Fresh Produce Journal

Fresh Produce Journal, the trade magazine covering the fruit, vegetable and flower industries, has undergone a redesign.

Deputy editor Samantha Lyster, who joined in May, has worked with the design team to create new sections for the back page, which covers the wider world of food. Food Crush and Food Blogs We Love will join the page’s Talking Heads section, featuring short interviews with figures in the food business, on a monthly rotation.

Food Crush will cover all manner of products, people and events that catch the eye of the editorial team, the launch featured Vintage Patisserie's Angel Adoree. Food Blogs We Love will showcase the best food bloggers.

The redesign coincides with a revamped Facebook and Twitter where the magazine is encouraging readers and anyone with an interest in food to share news and views, event details and campaigns related to fresh produce. There is also a new You Tube channel where video reports will be posted.

The Bushel Box page has also been relaunched to strengthen its social media strategy.

Anyone wishing to contribute or nominate a person, product or event to be featured in Bushel Box should contact Lyster either through email at samantha@fpj.co.uk or on Twitter @Samanthafpj.

For suggestions for video reports contact news reporter Thomas Hobbs at tom@fpj.co.uk or on Twitter @tomfpj.

Fresh Produce Journal has also recently launched a regular feature called Heroes of Healthy Eating. This section interviews leading figures that have had a real impact on changing eating habits for the better or championed the cause of fresh produce. To contribute contact feature writer Lisa Kjellsson at lisa@fpj.co.uk . Kjellsson also takes care of the opinion column and can be contacted for suggestions for contributors.
