News International has relaunched The Sun’s website, showcasing a refreshed design and new features to improve usability.

New features include an updated navigation bar across the top of the site that it is hoped will make it easier for readers to find what they want; and the Top Stories section which puts all the day’s most important developments at first sight on the site.

By introducing icons for Facebook and Twitter users will be more able to share articles and engage in debate, and the new site map will offer them improved site searching and navigation.

Finally the redesign will see “bigger and better videos,” improving user interaction.
