Shropshire Newspapers (Midland News Association), which publishes the Express & Star (West Midlands) and Shropshire Star, has created Native Monster, an entertainment, lifestyle and events website.

The site will cover events across the West Midlands, Shropshire and Staffordshire areas, music, arts, culture, food and drink and will include interviews, features and reviews. Content will be written by journalists from the two regional papers as well as contributions made by bloggers and guest writers.

Commenting on the launch, managing editor Lucy Dalton said, “The site aims to give inspiration to people who are lost for things to do in their leisure time throughout our region. Native Monster will build upon the audience of the flagship daily titles but will be marketed as a separate offering to the existing Expressandstar.com platform.”

Native Monster will be added to the FeaturesExec Media Database shortly.
