Content marketing agency The River Group has been acquired by Sun European Partners, a private investment advisory firm.

The aim of the acquisition is to form a partnership in the magazine and content sector with The Polestar Group, a leader in the magazine, newspaper supplement and commercial printing markets. 

The companies will remain independent but will work closely together on specific retail and brand projects.

Nicola Murphy will continue in her role as CEO of The River Group.
