Role change at The Observer

The Observer has appointed Lisa Bachelor to the role of deputy news editor.

Currently editor of the Observer’s 'Cash' section, she will take on the deputy news editor role from 30 September and will be working on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays as well as occasional Saturdays.

Harriet Meyer will take over the 'Cash' section role on a short-term basis.
