Andrea Thurlbeck who previously worked as crime reporter and consumer editor at the Sunderland Echo has launched R&R with her husband and business partner, journalist Andy Barker.

The bi-monthly lifestyle magazine for Sunderland called R&R (Rest & Relax) has an initial print run of 10,000 which will be distributed door-to-door across core areas of the city and dropped in areas of high footfall such as cafes, restaurants and health clubs.

Thurlbeck & Barker are publishing the title under the umbrella of their PR company, Results Network.

The first edition includes an interview with former News of the World reporter Neville Thurlbeck, Andrea's brother. Thurlbeck reveals how he exposed Jeffrey Archer and David Beckham.  He also gives an insight into his time as agent 251 of the NCIS (National Criminal Intelligence Service). The magazine also contains a range of local and national features, interviews and news.
