RTÉ appoints interim head of Radio 1

RTÉ has appointed Tom McGuire as the interim head of RTÉ Radio 1, replacing Jim Jennings.

Jennings has taken up the role of acting managing director of RTÉ Radio following the departure of Clare Duignan.

McGuire is current affairs editor at Radio 1 and will head the station from Monday 17 June. He can be found tweeting @TomJMcGuire.
