Sambrook to join PR consultancy

Former BBC global news director Richard Sambrook is to join PR consultancy firm, Edelman.

Sambrook has been appointed global vice chairman and chief content officer and will take up his new role in May, helping clients produce written, video and audio content to tell their own story.

Peter Horrocks succeeds Sambrook at the BBC, combining the directorship of global news with his current role as director of the BBC World Service.
