Sara Cox leaves BBC Radio 1

BBC Radio 1 presenter Sara Cox has left the station today (17 February) after 14 and a half years.

Cox has worked at Radio 1 since 1999 including a stint as breakfast presenter between 2000 and 2003, preceeding Chris Moyles. Most recently, she covered the mid-morning show during Fearne Cotton's maternity leave.

Now at BBC Radio 2, Cox presents 'Sounds of the 80s' on Saturday nights between 22:00 and 00:00. She can be found tweeting @sarajcox.
