Sun’s Smart move South

The Sun has appointed Gordon Smart as deputy editor. He is currently editor of the Sun’s Scottish edition and will return to London to take up his new role in mid-May. Smart has been in charge of the Scottish Sun since 2013 and prior to that was editor of The Sun’s Bizarre section.

The Sun has also confirmed that Dan Wootton, currently head of showbiz at the paper, has been promoted to associate editor (showbiz and TV) and will be responsible for the Bizarre section.
