Senior staff changes at The Times

The Times executive editor Keith Blackmore has been appointed deputy editor.

Blackmore succeeds Ben Preston who is now editor of International Editions of The Times.

Roland Watson, previously foreign editor, has been promoted to head of news. His role will include overseeing news coverage for the newspaper’s print and online editions.

Richard Beeston will be replacing Watson as foreign editor.
