The Times political editor, Philip Webster, is soon to become Europe editor for the paper in a series of changes at the News International title.

Webster will report from Brussels on European political issues from January. He is to be replaced by Roland Watson, who is currently head of news.

Watson will in turn be replaced by David Taylor, who is currently deputy national news editor at The Guardian.

David Chappell, the paper’s managing editor, is to leave in February. Anoushka Healey, currently assistant editor for strategy and development, will replace Chappell.
