Nottingham-based PR agency Apples & Pears Marketing has been appointed as UK PR agency for footwear brand Shepherd of Sweden.

The agency will oversee Shepherd’s official launch into the UK market, operating a full press office service for the brand.

The official UK launch of Shepherd began with a press event at Moda on 20 February at the NEC Birmingham. Invitations, goody bags and a traditional Swedish breakfast were used to tempt journalists to the Shepherd stand.

Shepherd specialises in hand crafted, sheepskin footwear that combines classic Swedish design techniques with comfort and quality. Their Autumn/Winter 2012 range includes women’s, men’s and children’s slippers and outdoor footwear.
