Shooting Star appoints two rising star interns
Shooting Star PR has appointed two University of Lincoln students under its Rising Star scheme.
The scheme was created for students to develop talent and put skills into practice, giving them a leg-up in a competitive jobs market. Rosie Kelly from Durham, who is studying English and Journalism, and Kim Hampton from Oakham, who is studying PR and Journalism, will work one day a week with the agency whilst continuing their university studies.
Interns who have participated in the scheme in the past have gone on to work in PR at GlaxoSmithKline, Brandnation and RBP International and both students have distinguished academic records and extensive previous work experience in the media.
Director at Shooting Star PR, Kate Strawson, said, “We really enjoy working with university students as they bring so much enthusiasm and a different perspective. We’ve been really pleased with their contributions so far and we look forward to working with them this year.”
