Shrewsbury Today, which launched this month, has appointed Carl Jones and David Burrows as columnists.

Jones will be writing a weekly online film and DVD review for shrewsburytoday.co.uk, as well as a regular column in the magazine. He also is BBC Radio Shropshire’s film critic.

Burrows, the Shropshire Star’s former national news editor, will publish 'Burrows About', his opinion column on the state of the town, on the magazine's website every Friday. He will also be writing about Shrewsbury Town FC.
