Sky News makes key foreign bureaux appointments

Sky News has made the following key appointments to its foreign bureaux:

Sam Kiley, currently defence & security editor, will become the channel's Jerusalem-based Middle East correspondent.  Kiley joins newly appointed Middle East news editor Tom Rayner and replaces Emma Hurd, who has decided to return to South Africa and will continue to work for Sky on a freelance basis.

Kiley's remit will be to help viewers understand this complex region and to deliver news for all Sky News' platforms across the region.

Additionally, Mark Stone has been appointed Asia correspondent and will take up the Beijing-based role later on this year while in the US, Hannah Thomas-Peter has been appointed New York correspondent.
