The 2012 winners of the CIPR North West PRide Awards were announced on Thursday 29 November at at a black-tie event at The Monastery in Manchester.

The awards recognise excellence in public relations and communications across the UK.

Consumer PR and social media agency Smoking Gun PR picked up five awards from its nine nominations, including a gold in the hotly contested 'Consumer Relations' category. The Spinningfields-based team also picked up four silvers across the 'Digital', 'Not for Profit', 'Best Use of Photography' and 'Campaign under £10,000' categories.
