The South Wales Echo business and politics editor Phillip Nifield has left the paper.

After 38 years at the Echo in Cardiff he will be setting up his own public relations and media consultancy.

The South Wales Echo is a daily paper based in Cardiff and published by Media Wales which is owned by Trinity Mirror.
