Spink nurtures National Gardens Festival Weekend

Spink is to support a consumer PR campaign for the launch of the National Gardens Scheme's (NGS) National Gardens Festival Weekend on 15-16 June. 

800 private gardens across England and Wales are planning to open their gates to the public during the Festival Weekend, and the event aims to raise £500,000 for nursing and caring charities, including Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie Cancer Care and the Carers Trust.

For its brief with NGS, Spink is looking to work with national and regional papers, women’s consumer press, health and lifestyle editors and the gardening press. Opportunities for journalists include case studies of garden owners, giveaways and images for Father’s Day features, access to gardens, and expert commentary from health psychologists on the benefits of gardening.
