Sports Betting Community relaunches and appoints managing director

Sports Betting Community (SBC), a network for gambling industry professionals, has relaunched its website and appointed Andrew McCarron as managing director.

McCarron was previously editor of Betting Business interactive and has been writing about the gambling industry since 1998. has been relaunched and the change will see the start of a long-term plan to upscale its news, events and consultancy business for the betting sector. SBC also plans an expansion of 'SBC Socials', where members of SBC’s 5,000-strong community get together and network in a social environment.

Rasmus Sojmark, founder of SBC, said: “I’ve had plans to expand the editorial and services capabilities of SBC for a while now and I believe Andy is the perfect person to realise that aim. His 15 years’ experience in the industry will be a valuable asset to what we hope to achieve at SBC.”
