Euro RSCG PR has been appointed by Staples, the office products company, following a four way pitch. The account team will report in to the company’s marketing team in High Wycombe and to marketing director, Sarah Haythornthwaite.
Currently there are 137 Staples stores across the UK, employing 1200 associates, and the company is committed to making it easy for businesses, people who work from home, families and schools to buy a wide range of office products, including supplies, technology, furniture, and business services.
“Euro’s retail credentials are particularly impressive,” comments Euro RSCG PR MD, Brian Beech, “and our presentation showed that we clearly understand Staples’ business and the marketplace they are operating in. There were some fantastic creative, but relevant, ideas that will help reinforce their position as the office superstore.”
The Euro account team of five will see the local marketing team led by Brian Beech out of Manchester and the national PR team led by Jo Grierson, consumer MD, from London. Their initial brief is to position Staples as first choice for all ‘back to school’ requirements for pupils and teachers alike.
