The Barking and Dagenham Post relocated to a local college to produce a special edition of the paper.

Nine students from Barking and Dagenham College helped produce the edition, which was released on 4 June, as part of the "Create Your Future" project. The paper's team mentored the students in all aspects of the Archant London business in the joint editorial and commercial project.

Archant has stated that two of the students, Emillie Rix and Michael Morar, have been awarded internships, while another, Rheanna Stiles, has been given the opportunity to write a paid monthly column for four months.
