Talk PR acquires Beam Agency to form new technology offering
Talk PR, part of the M&C Saatchi group, has acquired a majority interest in technology PR agency Beam, which will join Talk’s existing teams to form the new Technology, Innovation and Play division from January 2012.
Talk Technology will be headed by Beam founder, Jane Leah. Jane has run Clerkenwell based Beam for over seven years, creating “high impact business building PR campaigns” for clients including Fujifilm, Griffin Technology, T3 magazine, Navman, IWantOneOfThose.com and Gocycle. She was also voted UK Technology Woman of the Year in 2009 by industry peer group UKTJPR. The existing Beam team will join Jane in the new division at Talk’s headquarters in Rathbone Place.
Jane Boardman, CEO of Talk PR comments “As the importance and relevance of Technology continues to build across all sectors, we made a conscious decision to find a talented team that could form an intrinsic part of Talk PR’s offering, and would benefit our clients’ businesses. Jane’s determination, creativity, network and business flare will be a great asset to our business, complementing our unique combination of strategic thinking, vision and executional excellence.”
Jane Leah added, “Talk PR is a fantastically respected agency within the Fashion, Luxury and Beauty sectors and we are thoroughly delighted to bring our expertise to the group. This move will ensure that Beam’s existing clients benefit from the scale and stature of a major agency, while maintaining the senior, hands-on PR service our clients have always known. This move is also a fantastic opportunity for me and the team to develop our business offer further in the content, digital and social spaces as well as to seek new global opportunities through Talk PR’s international network, SERMO.”
