New Scientist has appointed Mićo Tatalović as environment and life sciences news editor.

Tatalović moves from his news editor role for London’s global edition of SciDev.net, where he had previously served as deputy news editor.

SciDev.net has appointed Inga Vesper as his replacement in the news editor position, to start in January. She was previously news editor of Research Europe and Europe editor for Research Fortnight.

This follows the imminent departure at New Scientist of Helen Thomson, who leaves her role tomorrow (19 December) as biomedical news reporter to go freelance. Careers editor Jessica Hamzelou replaces her in the role.
