Technical Publicity UK Wins Festo Account

Specialist public relations agency, Technical Publicity UK, part of the Technical Associates Group, has been hired by worldwide supplier of pneumatic and electrical automation technology, Festo to expand on their current level of brand and product awareness within the UK.

Festo had previously run its own successful PR campaigns but required the additional support of an agency that had extensive experience in technical B2B PR, an understanding of the European market and solid media contacts with the press. They chose Technical Publicity to be their retained agency to build upon their success in the UK.

Head of product management for Festo UK, Steve Sands commented: “We are really pleased to be working with Technical Publicity. We sought an agency that could understand our raw technology but is also able to bring a fresh and creative approach to our PR. Technical Publicity has convinced us of their ability to help us develop as thought-leaders within our markets due to their strong communications strategies and their quality relationships with the press.”

Director of Technical Publicity, Ian Clay added: “Festo is a highly innovative company and a lot of their technology has already captured the attention of the UK media, particularly their work in bionics, which has received not only a good deal of national media coverage but has also been covered in engineering-themed TV programmes as well.

“The Festo account is being managed by Technical Publicity’s senior account manager, Sarah Claridge, who has over eight years’ experience in marketing communications and technical B2B PR and is also a qualified mechanical engineer, making her the ideal person to understand the Festo technology and develop communications strategies that best promote their solutions to their customers. We are thrilled to be working with Festo and we’re looking forward to building on the successful media work they have already achieved”.
