Telegraph appoints acting editor and acting weekend print editor
The Telegraph has promoted Chris Evans to acting editor of the Monday to Friday editions of The Daily Telegraph.
He was previously assistant editor (news) at the daily.
Sunday Telegraph editor Ian McGregor has been appointed as acting weekend print editor with responsibility for overseeing weekend editions of the paper.
The appointments are in response to editor Tony Gallagher leaving the Telegraph as part of a wider restructure that will see the organisation move focus away from print and put greater emphasis on digital content.
