The Courier names Bargeton as deputy editor

The Courier has promoted Steve Bargeton to deputy editor of the Dundee daily.

Current deputy editor Jim Allison is retiring this Friday, 10 June. David Clegg replaces Bargeton as political editor.

Business editor Grant Reid will also be taking retirement shortly. He will be replaced by Graham Huband, who moves from sister paper the Evening Telegraph and Post where he was crime correspondent.

An editor is due to be appointed soon following the recent departure of Bill Hutcheon.
