The Guardian to launch food section
The Guardian has announced a weekly food supplement to launch this Saturday (12 January).
The 16-page "Cook" will come free with Saturday editions and also be available with iPad editions, and feature "everyday dishes from Sonya Kidney, step-by-step baking from Dan Lepard, drink recipes from Henry Dimbleby and Jane Baxter – and two pages of reader's recipes every issue, curated and tested by Felicity Cloake."
The supplement will also have a "meet the producers" feature, profiling food producers from around the country and asking them their favourite recipes.
The first reader recipes (crumbles) will appear on 26 January and ideas can be sent to recipes@guardian.co.uk. The main email for the outlet is cook@guardian.co.uk
