Newsquest has confirmed that Scottish daily paper The National will continue being published after a week-long pilot run.

Managing director of Newsquest subsidiary Herald & Times Group Tim Blott said: “We […] will continue to produce it as long as there is a market for it.”

The pro-independence newspaper is edited by Richard Walker, who also edits the Sunday Herald.
