The Professional Publishers Association (PPA) Awards 2011 announce winners
The winners of The Professional Publishers Association (PPA) Awards 2011 were announced on Wednesday evening at a ceremony hosted by comedian Kevin Bridges at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Mayfair.
The annual awards aim to showcase and reward excellence and innovation in the magazine publishing industry.
Judges reviewed entries across 22 distinct categories such as Consumer Magazine of the Year, Monthly Business Magazine of the Year, and Editor of the Year for business media.
TSL Education – publisher of the Times Educational Supplement and Times Higher Education – picked up four awards including Digital Product of the Year for business media. Times Higher Education was also awarded Business Media Brand and Weekly Business Magazine of the Year, while Times Educational Supplement’s Gerard Kelly was named Business Media Editor of the Year.
Other winners included Time Out, which won International Consumer Magazine of the Year, and Cosmopolitan, which picked up the prize for Consumer Media Brand of the Year.
