The Sun appoints business editor

The Sun has appointed Simon English as business editor, replacing Steve Hawkes who recently joined the Telegraph as consumer affairs editor.

English, previously deputy city editor at the Evening Standard, joins The Sun on 18 June.

In the meantime Rhodri Phillips, news reporter, will be covering the Sun’s city desk.
