The Sun has launched a Buzzfeed-style political website outside the Sun+ subscription.

SunNation.co.uk is a separate website to the main paywalled site and is designed to be viewed on smartphones. Edited by Tim Gatt, it features shareable video, games, quizzes, interactive toys, lists, memes, opinion pieces, infographics, galleries and funny stories as well as more serious news and comment.

The website launched yesterday with an exclusive video depicting a day in the life of Prime Minister David Cameron.

Sun editor David Dinsmore said: “SunNation offers us the chance to bring the paper’s take on UK politics to a wider audience ahead of the General Election.”
