Times’ US editor joins Wall Street Journal
The Times’ US editor and assistant editor Gerard Baker is to leave the paper to join the Wall Street Journal in January.
Gerard Baker will be working with Wall Street Journal editor Robert Thomson again when he becomes deputy editor-in-chief in the new year. The pair had previously worked together at the Times when Thomson was editor.
In his new role, Baker will assist in overseeing The Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones Newswires and WSJ.com.
Baker has worked for the BBC and the Financial Times before joining The Times in 2004 as US editor.
