Speed today announced that it has been chosen by Tradeshift as its PR agency.

Tradeshift provides an online business network to send, receive and manage e-invoices. Launched in 2010 by pioneers in open e-business who created the e-invoicing system for the Danish government, it now covers over 180 countries.

As the company’s first PR agency, Speed will be supporting Tradeshift’s core business goals. This will involve a multi-audience approach to reach and influence businesses and organisations of all sizes through the full spectrum of influencer channels (media, social media and stakeholder relations). A particular focus will be boosting the sign-up rate of small businesses to Tradeshift’s free e-invoicing service.

Scott McLean, director at Speed, said: “Rarely have I encountered a business with so much budding potential as Tradeshift. The company is already proving it has the capability to become for businesses what Facebook is for consumers but to achieve this ambition it needs to massively accelerate awareness amongst its core target audiences. Our campaign will be single-mindedly focussed on supporting this business requirement.”
