Trinity Mirror is to launch iPhone applications for its national daily papers and the 3am.co.uk and Mirrorfootball.co.uk websites.

The company will make apps for the Daily Mirror and the Daily Record free, but will charge users to download those for the sites, when they are made available in the new year.
