Solihull News and Solihull Times, two weekly freesheets covering the Metropolitan Borough of Solihull in the West Midlands, have merged into one paper called Solihull News incorporating the Solihull Times.

The newspaper was first published under its new title on 17 July.

At least four members of the Solihull News and Times editorial team have moved to join sister newspapers or work freelance.

The merger is part of changes at Trinity Mirror’s Midlands Weekly Media division, as reported in the Media Bulletin early last month.
