The portfolio will be sold for £2.4 million and includes titles Pro Sound News Europe, TVB Europe, Installation Europe and Music Week print magazine as well as related websites and events. The titles are being sold by UBM on behalf of its UBM Connect division.
The new titles will bolster Intent’s existing product set for the UK entertainment and technology markets.
“This is a significant move for Intent, essentially doubling the size of the company” said Intent Media managing director Stuart Dinsey. Intent Media will open an additional office in Islington Green, London, this summer as a result.
The transaction is expected to be completed in the next six weeks and will see up to 36 staff move from UBM to Intent Media.
