A number of journalists at the Herald group newspapers, The Herald, The Sunday Herald and Evening Times, have applied successfully for voluntary redundancy.

Ian Bruce, defence correspondent at The Herald and Alan Campbell, a sports writer at The Sunday Herald are two journalists that will be leaving in the wake of a staffing re-organisation.

Last month, publisher Newsquest said all staff at The Herald – and sister titles, The Sunday Herald and Evening Times – would need to re-apply for new jobs.
