Waterhouse retires from Daily Mail

Keith Waterhouse has retired from his twice-weekly column for the Daily Mail after a 60 year career as a journalist and writer.

Waterhouse, who has been a regular columnist for the Daily Mail for 23 years, has written more than 2,000 columns.

Before joining the Daily Mail he worked at the Daily Mirror for 35 years, after beginning his journalism career on the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Waterhouse has also written numerous books, including 16 novels, plays, film scripts and TV series.
