Alison Root has been appointed editor of Women & Golf magazine.

She has worked on the title for the past two and a half years and takes over from Jane Carter, managing director of Gemini Network Media, who will concentrate on other projects.

Alison said: “I am delighted to take over the helm and look forward to further strengthening and improving editorial content, while continuing to provide our readers with a first class publication.”
