XFM to relaunch as Radio X
XFM will relaunch as Radio X, with Chris Moyles taking on the breakfast show from 6.30am – 10am.
The rebrand will include Vernon Kay presenting the weekday mid-morning show, Johnny Vaughan taking on drivetime and Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson on air over weekends.
The change will also see programmes in Manchester reworked with London and the closure of XFM Scotland.
Radio X will be available from 21 September 2015 on Digital One as well as on 104.9FM in London and 97.7FM in Manchester. A mobile app is also expected to be available to prior to the relaunch.
