KAV Publicity have changed the frequency of Yachting Life magazine from monthly to bi-monthly, starting with the forthcoming July/August issue.
Editor Alistair Vallance cites a seismic shift in national marine-related advertising away from print to an online presence and an increase in the use of social media as big industry names strive to become global brands.
"We are fortunate that major local advertisers continue to use Yachting Life to attract local business, but the ‘nationals’ were the icing on the cake which made the monthly publication viable," he explains. "Yachting Life is now embarking on a new course, publishing six profitable editions a year, instead of 12 loss makers."
The website will now also carry weekly ‘seafacts’ listings.
